What is the Academy Distinction?

The Academy Distinction is an achievement all students can earn through engagement in academy-specific courses and opportunities. Below are the additional requirements to receive the Academy Graduation Distinction.

• Receive 3 credits of fine arts or other approved ACS elective
• Complete 1 year of Latin, minimum (students not taking Latin may take 4 years of fine arts or approved ACS elective)
• Earn at least 80 Civic Engagement Points
• Complete one of the senior seminar options and present a portfolio

• Complete a science pathway: Physics & Engineering, Environmental Studies, or Pre-med/Allied Health
• Receive credit in a 5th science course
• Earn 80 exploration points
  
• Complete one of the senior seminar options and present a portfolio
  

• Receive credit in 3 technology-based or design-focused electives
  
• Earn 80 “techsploration” points 
• Complete one of the senior seminar options and present a portfolio

• Receive 4 credits of a spoken world language
• Earn 80 global citizenship points
• Complete one of the senior seminar options and present a portfolio
