Financial Aid & Scholarships

Seniors you can complete a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) beginning Oct. 1st. The earlier you complete (after Oct. 1) the better. You do this beginning your senior year, and each year you plan to be enrolled in college. This application is sent to all the schools you plan to apply to, and they reward you with need based aid in the form of loans, grants, & work study.

Local scholarship are updated in Naviance regularly. The scholarship list is located in Naviance, in college tab, under 'scholarship list'. Make sure to look early and often at these. Remember each school you apply to may also have scholarships they award to you too, and sometimes their scholarship deadline is earlier than their application deadline, so do your research and don't procrastinate.

Please visit Naviance, a web-based service designed especially for students and parents. Naviance can help in making decisions about colleges and is used extensively by the counselor's office in helping students prepare for and apply for admission to college and other post-secondary opportunities.  Students can research, plan for visits, and organize their college applications. To log on, students and parents use the same username and password to log onto the computers at school.
