Chromebooks for Student Checkout
Students can request Chromebook for personal checkout during the school year. These devices allow students to access the internet for school-related business, such as online research, assignment submission, online collaboration and communication with teachers and other students, etc. They also can be helpful to students needing access to the web for personal business such as job searching and online test prep. An orientation will be required for both parents and students before devices are issued, to ensure students know how to access resources, get tech support when needed, and properly use and care for their device. These devices are brand new for our 1:1 Initiative. All required information can be found here.
If students haven't already received your Chromebook, complete the Chromebook Request Form at: https://goo.gl/rFGgwf after you submit the request through the link above, stop by the library for further instructions about your new AISD device. (NOTE: Your parent must first read the Parent Training Guide and signed the Parent Consent in order to receive a Chromebook).
Read the "Parent Training Guide" for more information about the student devices.
A digital copy of "Parent Consent for Issuing Technology Equipment for Use at Home" should be completed BEFORE a device will be issued to a student. (NOTE: You must be logged in to the AISD Parent Cloud to access consent form).
